Wind power

Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into a useful form, such as electricity, using wind turbines. At the end of 2008, worldwide nameplate capacity of wind-powered generators was 120.8 gigawatts.[1] Although wind produces only about 1.5% of worldwide electricity use,[1] it is growing rapidly, having doubled in the three years between 2005 and 2008. Large scale wind farms are typically connected to the local electric power transmission network, with smaller turbines being used to provide electricity to isolated locations. Utility companies increasingly buy back surplus electricity produced by small domestic turbines. Wind energy as a power source is favoured by many environmentalists as an alternative to fossil fuels, as it is plentiful, renewable, widely distributed, clean, and produces lower greenhouse gas emissions, although the construction of wind farms is not universally welcomed due to their visual impact and other effects on the environment. The intermittency of wind seldom creates problems when using wind power to supply a low proportion of total demand. Where wind is to be used for a moderate fraction of demand, additional costs for compensation of intermittency are considered to be modest.[2]

A Good Place for a Holiday: Paris

I went to Paris in July 2005. I went with my mum, my dad, my sister and my brother. We stayed in a hotel. We were there for four weeks. We travelled around the city by bus, we visited DisneyLand Paris, and a lot of places. We saw somo lovely places. We couth somo clothes, I bought a teddy and more things.
I recommend it because it's beatiful, romantic and lovely place, and the people are very friendly.

This 12th February Charles Darwin was a 200 years old.He was an English naturalist who realised and demonstrated that all species of life have evolved over time from common ancestors through the process he called natural selection. The fact that evolution occurs became accepted by the scientific community and much of the general public in his lifetime, while his theory of natural selection came to be widely seen as the primary explanation of the process of evolution in the 1930s,and now forms the basis of modern evolutionary theory. In modified form, Darwin’s scientific discovery is the unifying theory of the life sciences, providing logical explanation for the diversity of life.

My first day of Secondary School.

It was a disaster!!!I arrived at school at 8 a.m. Then my name was on 2ESO E list. I didn't know anyone. Later, we went to the assembly-room. After that we went to the classroom and I met my friends and my tutor. I was very nervous. Finally, it was time to go home, but I didn't find the way. It was very funny. It was not one of my best days.

Last Monday I got up early. I had breakfast and went to school. At 14.20 p.m. I had dinner and after that I did my homework. Later, I had shower and watcher TV
Last Thursday I didn't got up early, because I was sleeping. Iwent to the school, and in the afternoon I went back. At 18.00 p.m. I had a shower and did my homerwork.
Last Wednesday I went to school. In the afternoon I chated with my friends. After that I did my homework and had a shower. Later I went to bed.
Last Tuesday I went to school. At 15.15 p.m. I waited for my friend in the parc, to go together to school. I went home at 17.10 p.m. I did my homework and later had a shower.
Last Friday I went to the school at 8.15 a.m. At 13.30 p.m. I went home. I watched some tv and chated with my freinds. Later I had a shower and listened to music.
Last Saturday I got up at 9.00 a.m., because I went to my friends's house to finish some biology homework. In the afternoonI had a shower, and after that I listened to music and played to Nintendo ds. At 19.30 I met my friends.
Last Sunday I didin't got up urly. I get up at 11.30 a.m. Next I did my homework. In the afternoon I had snacks and chated with my friends. Later I had a shower and listened to music. At 20.30 p.m. I visited my brother's house. At 21.30 p.m. I had dinner and went to bed.

Paula is one of my best friends, and yesterday I went to her birthday. She´s 14 years old. Firts , Paula open her presents...she loves it. After that we have a tea. Mum´s Paula prepared a cake, it was delicious. And finally we go to play, to sing, to laugh, and have a good time.

Her name is Esther. She´s 14 years old. She is tall, thin, and has got brown hair. Her hair is long and straight. Her eyes are big and brown. She is more friendly.
